Our accommodation is located in Pagudpud walking distance from Saud beach. That said, our itinerary began from Sur-Norte-Sur. Back to sight-seeing after enjoying the beach.

Choose Philippines: Ilocos Region (1 of 2)

After several attempts, I finally set my foot and laid my eyes on Ilocos Region. I’ve planned going North by plane before (which did not pursue) but now I can say that a road trip was a much better idea to maximize both Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.

We were able to visit lots of places with side trips here and there all thanks to our experienced and friendly driver, Kuya Ogie from Malakas Tours in Dasmariñas City, Cavite. He has been going back and forth Ilocos as a tour guide and driver since 1997. He knows where the best places are for eats and for pasalubongs,  best time slots for activities and, hidden gems of Ilocos.

Day 5: Hasedera Temple, Kamakura

I opted for a spontaneous, chill kind of touristy day. I stepped out a little after lunch and then picked Hasedera Temple as my destination after doing a little research how to go and what to look forward to. There is a JR line going to Kamakura station which makes this a good alternative or side trip if you’re a JR pass holder.
